Plurals Fun Deck 3.8

This educational application designed for iPhone®, iPad®, and iPod touch® provides access to all 56 illustrated flash cards from the Plurals Fun Deck® by Super Duper® Publications, including audio narration for each card’s text. Educators can select specific cards to present to students, facilitating practice with both regular and irregular plurals. Prompts feature sentences such as, “Eric found a ___ (penny) on the sidewalk” and “Eric found several ___ (pennies) on the sidewalk,” with an automatic scoring feature that offers two answer options to correctly complete each sentence.

The interface is straightforward; students view an illustration and can either read the prompt or tap the screen to hear it aloud along with answer choices. Responses are registered via touch, and moving to the next card involves sliding the current card off the screen. The app allows for multiple players; user profiles can be created and selected by tapping the bar at the top of the screen. Additionally, the Auto-Advance feature enables automatic progression through cards and players, streamlining session flow. The game can be paused and resumed later without loss of data by selecting Pause Game and Continue Game options, respectively. Upon completion, results are visualized in a graph, which can be printed or emailed for record-keeping or analysis.

The Plurals Fun Deck® App offers flexible usability features, including portrait or landscape orientation, selection of specific cards to tailor sessions, tracking of unlimited players’ correct and incorrect responses, manual or automatic advancement of cards and players, and feedback on responses. Users can pause and resume at convenience, review detailed performance metrics such as missed questions, and share results through printing or email functionalities.
